This report is updated every Saturday for the incoming week (occasionally a bit earlier).
PLEASE NOTE: Most activities have limited space and require advanced reservations. Sign-ups begin at the conclusion of the Monday Orientation at approximately 10:30 (first-come, first-served). If you cannot be there in person you may call us at 603-745-9900 and ask for the Activities department (or EXT-470 from in-room). All activities start at designated times, so please arrive early. Schedule is subject to change, may be weather dependent, and may be cancelled for lack of participation or tardiness. Children must be supervised.

MONDAY, MAY 11TH
9:00AM - RESORT ORIENTATION (free event): Meet the Activities Staff in the movie theater for approximately one hour of information regarding daily activities, resort amenities, and local offerings. Activities sign-ups open at the end of this meeting. Complimentary doughnuts.
11:00AM-12:00PM - CONCIERGE HOURS: Stop by the Main Lobby to meet the Activities staff (or you may call us at EXT-470). We'll be available to answer questions, make reservations, and personalize your vacation based on your interests and needs.
11:00AM - KITE CRAFT: Customize and decorate your own kite. Then go fly it! Limited space and supplies. Located in the Fun Factory. $10 per craft.
12:30PM - MATINEE MOVIE - THE WILD ROBOT (free event): Roz, a free-spirited robot crash lands on an unpopulated planet. Rated PG. BYO treats.

1:30PM - GUIDED HIKE AT THE ROCKS ESTATE: We'll explore the walking trails and visitor center of this historic and scenic Christmas tree farm, featuring views of Mt. Washington. Approx. 1-mile of walking, but we may extend if the group is enjoying themselves. Limited space. Appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended. Minimum of 4 participants required or hike may be cancelled. $10 per person.
2:30PM - MATINEE MOVIE - THE PENGUIN LESSONS (free event): Tom Michell is a British teacher who moves to Argentina in the turbulent 1970s when the country is on the verge of a coup. When he rescues an orphaned penguin on the beach his whole life is transformed. Rated PG-13. BYO treats.
3:30PM - GLASS PAINTING CRAFT: We'll provide the supplies and it's up to you to get creative. Choose from a wine glass, mason jar, or mug as your canvas. Limited space and supplies. Located in the Fun Factory. $10 per craft.
6:00PM - MATINEE MOVIE - REBUILDING (free event): After wildfires take his ranch, cowboy Dusty winds up in a FEMA camp, finding community with others, including his daughter and ex-wife. This film is rated PG. BYO treats.
6:00-7:00PM - CAMPFIRE AND S'MORES: We'll have s'mores available by the campfire (located in the backyard near the tennis courts). Weather dependent.

8:30PM - MOVIE NIGHT - ISLANDS (free event): A tennis coach at a luxurious island resort meets an enigmatic tourist whom he feels he's met before. Tension and attraction starts to grow, until her husband disappears, leaving him as a suspect. Please note this film is not rated. TUESDAY, MAY 12TH
9:00AM - GUIDED HIKE ON THE SERENDIPITY TRAIL: The Serendipity Loop is a hidden gem right in the backyard of Loon Mountain. This gently rolling loop winds through a scenic mixed forest, offering peaceful surroundings, mountain & river views, and well-maintained paths. This easy/moderate hike is a little over 2-miles (round-trip) on a well-maintained path. Appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended. Minimum of 4 participants required or event may be cancelled. $10 per person.

7:00PM - MOVIE NIGHT - GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE (free event): A mysterious man arrives at a Los Angeles diner claiming to be from the future. His mission is to recruit a specific group of people to travel with him through time to help avert an apocalypse brought on by artificial intelligence. 7:30PM - MOOSE/WILDLIFE BUS TOUR: Join us for an interpretive tour around the region in search of New Hampshire's famous wildlife! This time of year, black bear and moose are very active. However, be forewarned that we may not see anything at all. That being said, your wildlife guide will speak extensively about the different animals and history of wildlife in New Hampshire. Tour lasts approx. 3-hours. Limited space. $15 per person. -
WEDNESDAY, MAY 13TH
10:00AM - GUIDED HIKE TO BRIDESMAID FALLS: Bridesmaid Falls was once the subject of many postcards and paintings, but the long-lost waterfall no longer appears on any hiking maps. The hike is generally considered easy/moderate with very little elevation change for the majority of the hike; however, a short but very steep descent/ascent is required to access the waterfall, so a high level of agility and balance is required to complete the hike. This hike is not for young children or anyone with balance/health issues. The hike is approx. 1-mile (round-trip). Appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended. Minimum of 4 participants required. $15 per person.

This film follows lovable pick-pocket Eric Noone as he lands a job at a unique English manor house. He quickly rises through the ranks, and a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport blossoms. But when an unexpected murder occurs, Eric gets framed. Please note this film is rated R. THURSDAY, MAY 14TH
9:15AM - GUIDED KAYAK AT MOORE RESERVOIR: Enjoy a relaxing paddle on picturesque Moore Reservoir as you take in the beauty of the White Mountains. Breathtaking views, bald eagles, and stunning reflections, all from the comfort of your kayak! Previous kayak experience is not necessary, but this does require basic endurance to paddle leisurely for approx. two hours. We'll be led by a professional guide from North Country Kayak. Return to resort by approx. 1:00pm. Minimum of 4 participants required. Discounted price of $50 each ($29 savings exclusively for Pollard Brook guests).

3:30PM - UFO BUS TOUR: One of the most infamous UFO abduction stories in history happened around the corner from Pollard Brook Resort. In 1961, Betty & Barney Hill claim to have been abducted by aliens and can't explain a large chunk of "lost time". We will head out in the bus to re-trace their route on that fateful night. We'll make a few stops including a scenic view in Franconia Notch, the official state historic marker that commemorates their story, the spot of abduction, and a local mural of the alien. Approx. 1.5-hour tour. $5 per person.
3:30PM - MATINEE MOVIE - FAMILY PLAN 2 (free event): Dan (Mark Wahlberg) has planned the perfect vacation for his family to celebrate overseas until a mysterious figure from his past shows up with unfinished business. Rated PG-13. BYO treats.
7:30PM - MOVIE NIGHT - SOBO (free event): This adventure documentary follows thru-hiker Matt Lyons on his two-year mission to finish the Pacific Crest Trail. Battling injuries, loneliness, and the wild beauty of the backcountry, it’s a personal story of grit, growth, and the surprising connections made along 2,650 tough miles. FRIDAY, MAY 15TH
9:30AM - GUIDED HIKE TO MT. AGASSIZ: Mt. Agassiz is a former tourist attraction that went defunct in the 1960s, but still provides a stunning view of Franconia Notch as we get a peek into a golden age long past. The view is a completely different perspective of Franconia Notch than you have likely ever seen before. This guided hike is 1.5-miles (round-trip) on an old paved road; however, the road climbs steadily uphill and is very steep in places. A higher level of agility & stamina is required - you will work up a sweat. Appropriate outerwear recommended. Minimum of 4 participants required. $15 per person.

2:00PM - GUIDED WALK TO LOON MOUNTAIN (free event): Join us for a walk on the paved recreational path from Pollard Brook to Loon Mountain, and back. This walk is approx. 2-miles (round-trip) on a mostly flat path with some minor ups-and-downs along the way (walking up & down our driveway is the only steeper section). Along the trail, we'll have some nice views of the mountains, Loon ski area, and the Pemigewasset River.
4:00PM - MATINEE MOVIE - THE LOST BUS (free event): A determined father (Matthew McConaughey) risks everything to rescue a dedicated teacher and her students from a raging wildfire. Inspired by a true story of survival. Please note this film is Rated R. BYO treats.

He decides to try out for a rental family agency, in which he is hired to play different roles in random people’s lives. 9:00AM - WATERFALL TOUR OF THE KANCAMAGUS: We'll head over the Kancamagus Highway for a couple of short/easy walks to Sabbaday Falls (0.6 miles round-trip), and also Rocky Gorge (0.1 miles round-trip). We'll also stop at other scenic vistas for pictures along the way. Approx. 3-hour tour. $10 per person.
