Club Manager Notes
By Cathy West, InnSeason Vacation Club Manager
As the fall months approach, it’s time to start thinking about next year and where
you and your family will be spending your vacation. It’s amazing how this year has
flown by isn’t it? Here are some helpful tips and reminders to help you start planning
that much needed vacation.
Using Points with Interval International
Exchanging through Interval International using your points is easy once you get
the hang of it. All it requires are a few simple planning steps and you can be off
having the vacation you deserve!
Step 1: Pick a location and time of year
you want to travel.
Step 2: Log in to Interval World and use the resort directory to look at resorts
in the desired location.
Step 3: Pick any combination of 4 or more
travel dates and resorts – for example, 3 resorts and 1 travel date, 2 resorts and
2 travel dates, 1 resort and 3 travel dates, etc.
Tip: Remember – the more flexible you are
with your search, the better chance you have at getting the exchange you want!
Step 4: Call InnSeason Owner Services at
888-333-1535 to verify that you have enough points for the exchange you are trying
to get. By calling us first, you are guaranteeing that your search with Interval
will be accepted and an exchange will be confirmed.
Step 5: Call Interval International at 866-522-1466
and place a REQUEST FIRST. Make sure you
have your Interval International membership number (and that it’s the number linked
to your points if you own more than just points and have more than one Interval
International account). You will give the dates and location (combination of 4)
to the agent. The agent will charge the exchange fee on the phone at this time.
Tip: If the agent asks for your unit and
week, ask to speak with an InnSeason Resorts trained supervisor. You do not need
a week and unit number when you are exchanging with your points.
Tip: You will pay the exchange fee at the
time you call even if there is nothing available at that time. If they are unable
to find something for your request, your exchange fee will be refunded back to your
credit card.
Step 6: If there is a week available that
matches your request, you will get a Vacation Confirmation number. If there is nothing
available that matches your request, Interval will begin searching for the first
available week that matches your request. Your confirmation will be emailed to you.
Tip: When you make your request first, you
will be given a “confirmation number.” This confirmation number is really a Request
confirmation number and
does not mean you have a room booked. Once a match is found for your
request, you will be given a Vacation Confirmation number – this is your confirmation
number. This Vacation Confirmation will be emailed to the email address that Interval
has on file.
Step 7: Print out your confirmation, bring
it with you to check-in, and enjoy your vacation!
